Professional Judgements Due to COVID

Important Notice:

If your family's financial situation has been significantly or permanently altered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the income you reported on your 2021-2022 FAFSA is no longer accurate, you may be able to complete a Special Circumstances form.

These circumstances may include: 

• Loss of employment
• Loss or significant change in income
• Change in marital status after applying for Federal Student Aid
• Death of a parent or student's spouse after applying for Federal Student Aid
• One-time income

Results may positively impact your eligibility for federal student aid.

Student requesting a Professional Judgement will be required to submit all relevant documentation, including 2020 income taxes, to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
