COLUMBIA STATE NURSING DEPARTMENT RECEIVES GENEROUS DONATION FROM NHC

(Columbia, Tenn. - Sept. 15, 2011) - - - National HealthCare Corporation (NHC) recently presented a check for almost $5,000 to the nursing department at Columbia State Community College. The generous donation came from the proceeds of the Summer Songwriter's Night and Country Buffet, and it will be used to purchase new equipment.

"Columbia State values the relationship that exists with NHC and appreciates the leadership provided by Edward Moore," said Bethany Lay, executive for advancement at Columbia State. "C-State is proud of its health science programs and the quality students we train that enter the workforce and find employment at such places as NHC."

NHC was just one of the sponsors for the Summer Songwriter's Night, a benefit concert for The Foundation for Geriatric Education (TFGE) and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). The concert was held June 11, 2011 at Peggy's field on Pulaski Hwy.
