GIBSON SIGNED TO TUSCULUM FOR FALL 2013

(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Dec. 12, 2012) - - - Columbia State Community College's baseball catcher, Scott Gibson, has been signed to Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn. for the fall 2013 academic year. Gibson will graduate from Columbia State in May of 2013 with a general transfer degree.
"We are excited to have Scott in our program. He is a quality young man who truly loves the game of baseball," said Doug Jones, Tusculum's head baseball coach. "He comes from one of the best junior college programs in the country, and we know that he has been well coached. We are expecting Scott to be a big part of our program the next two years, and I know he is excited to be closer to home."
"I am so happy for Scott and his family," said Mike Corn, Columbia State's head baseball coach. "Coach Doug Jones has built a national powerhouse at Tusculum. They are nationally ranked each and every year. I look for Scott to go in with his aggressive mentality and contribute right away. He will be joining former Charger and Columbia native Clark Ayers, who is already playing for the Pioneers."
