(COLUMBIA, Tenn. - Dec. 6, 2011) - - - Are you or your employees scrambling to learn the Microsoft Office 2010 upgrade? Columbia State's Center for Economic and Workforce Development is offering a series of introductory classes during the month of January. Come on your own or bring your whole office. As a special invitation to Middle Tennessee employers, Columbia State is offering a discount for groups of four or more that register for any or all of the classes. There is no need to worry because Columbia State is closer than you think. The main campus is approximately 35 miles south of Cool Springs or 35 miles north of Pulaski. So come for the day and tackle Microsoft Office with an expert.
Introduction to Word 2010 is a hands-on class in which your employees will learn how to add, move through and edit text; move words from one part of your document to another; work on two or more documents simultaneously; change the size or appearance of text; change margins and tab settings; run grammar and spell check; use the thesaurus; and save, retrieve, copy, organize and print documents. The class is on Friday, Jan. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The $129 fee includes textbook.
Introduction to Excel 2010 teaches employees to sort and analyze data, design custom charts and graphs, and format worksheets using mathematical formulas. The class is on Friday, Jan. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The $129 fee includes textbook.
Introduction to PowerPoint 2010 teaches employees how to create professional quality slide presentations that grab and hold your audience's attention from start to finish. The employee will explore the latest features of PowerPoint, from the all-new file menu to the backstage view. Find out how to create dazzling presentations formatted with themes and a variety of slide layouts. They will learn how to embellish slides with text, objects, SmartArt, multimedia, animation, sound, charts, clip art and hyperlinks. The class is on Friday, Jan. 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The $129 fee includes textbook.
Introduction to QuickBooks 2010 is a class that covers banking and billing activities, working with reports and budgets, protecting and backing up data, etc. This class is on Friday, Jan. 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The $129 fee includes the textbook.
