Admission Steps & Requirements

Applicants seeking entry into the program must complete the following requirements:


Step 1
Complete the online application if you are a new applicant or did not attend the previous semester.

Step 2
Forward official high school and college transcripts to the college.

Step 3
Complete the ACT, SAT or placement exam as determined by the Admissions Office. An Act composite score of less than 19 or a SAT score of less than 900 will require the applicant to complete specific remedial or development courses. These courses must be completed prior to the admissions deadline.

Step 4
Complete the program application.

Step 5
Attend an interview with program faculty after completing the college and program applications but prior to the application deadline.

Step 6
Students must have a GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale in recent college courses or a minimum ACT composite score of 19. Developmental courses are not included as part of the GPA.

The application deadline is May 1st.

Because space in the program is limited, entrance into the program is competitive.

Prospective students must be physically and mentally able to perform all skills as outlined in the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) “Standards,” as described in the college catalog and as presented in the program’s clinical instructional objectives.
