Criminal Background Checks:

Health Science students in most Tennessee Board of Regents institutions are required to submit a criminal background check to meet clinical affiliate requirements. The criminal background checks range from approximately $40 - $100, depending on the number of counties and states a student has resided in over the past seven years. Students are responsible for the expense of the background check. Students deemed ineligible to attend clinic on the basis of background check results may not be able to complete program/course objectives and as such are ineligible to enroll or continue in a health science program. Additional information regarding this process is shared with students and interested applicants by program and institutional officials.
